Bathroom Design with Photos of the Before & After Makeovers are some of my favorite visuals. Even after the bathroom has been completed, I love revisiting the before photos. Sometimes it is hard to remember how many changes were made. Or even how the simplest of changes can make such a dramatic difference. Here are some of the most recent projects I’ve completed and the changes we made. Enjoy!
Award Winning Powder Room
This is one of my favorites! Changes included:
- Vanity is a “found” discontinued showroom sample -perfect mahogany finish, size and mirrored on 3 sides!–retrofitted for plumbing
- Vanity Console drawers allow for storage of TP and supplies!
- Wall mounted Faucet and Soap Dispenser to save precious space
- Wallpaper (obviously)-Clients loved this selection
- Flooring to match adjacent entry
- Toilet is now Wall Hung beautiful Veil- ease of cleanability in a tiny space
- Lighting! Gorgeous Wrought Iron Sconces
Award Winning Guest Bathroom
This guest bathroom is located on the main floor. An awkward layout with a large jetted tub was replaced with a spacious shower. The homeowner’s love of blue was the inspiration. Changes include:
- Removal of whirlpool tub
- Complete new layout
- All new finishes and fixtures
- Improved Lighting
- Blue and White Carrara Marble adds elegance
- Custom Designed Vanity
Winning not one but two awards including “Coolest Detail”. The flow of the curves and scallops emphasizes the principle of repetition in the overall elegant design.
Here is another view which includes the custom window treatment and original art:
Before & After Makeover of a Basement Bathroom Design
Dark, windowless and unfriendly describes this tiny bathroom. By replacing it with a larger vanity we created needed storage. Tiling the walls opens up the space and exudes a cohesive and fun ambience. Inspired by the homeowner’s artwork, we chose bright orange towels for color. As a result, the Matte Black fixtures provide a fun contrast.
Primary Bathroom
Replacing the tub and faucet added color and panache to this formerly blah bathroom. The new tub is a beauty for this vintage home. Made of Volcanic Limestone it is from Victoria & Albert. You can see more of this elegant collection of bath fixtures and tubs here. New window treatments were designed for better functionality. Light fixtures were replaced. Hence, the entire room is bright and inviting.
My Primary Bathroom
Another tub replacement! It was time to repair a leaky faucet and a 30 year old whirlpool tub. Replacing the dated tub required a new floor. If you are interested in seeing lots of details about this process, please check out my blog post here.
Another Award Winning Transformation
After laying out the ideal size of the custom vanity, the mint green marble mosaic floor from Ann Sacks Tile was the first selection to transform this lovely bathroom for the lady of the house. Included are natural materials and lush greenery. Soothing and sophisticated, it is one of my favorites. This is another freestanding tub from the Victoria and Albert collection.
Pretty Guest Bathroom Makeover
This pretty guest bathroom was the last bathroom to be updated in this vintage home. The cheery wallpaper really sets an inviting tone for guests and visiting family members.
- Custom designed vanity
- Faucets and undermount sinks
- Quartz counter top
- New flooring
- Window treatments
- Fun wallpaper!
See how dramatic this transformation is:
I hope you enjoyed some of the Before & After Makeovers I’ve been privileged to work on recently. I will be adding more as I am able to photograph a few almost- finished projects very soon!
Wow, stunning transformation. I love how the design completely elevates the space. Great job.
Wow, this blog post is so inspiring! I’m in the middle of planning my own bathroom renovation,
and I’m so impressed with the quality of work I’m definitely going to give them a call for a quote.
Hello Maria,
Thanks you for your kind remarks. I appreciate hearing from my readers!
Wow! what a great way to bath. While some of these would be downright impossible to clean, they’re all cool in their own way.
Thank you for your comment Joquim. Cleaning and maintenance is always discussed and considered when choosing the preferred materials with my clients.
